There is no need to pre order from the menu, you can make your choices on the night.
For the benefit of Mr A Simmo esq, (who I feel sure his main hobby is food consumption) you can make repeated visits to get 2nd's at no extra cost .
Yes you did read correctly Andy, I did just happen to mention SECOND helpings
I do believe it does include deserts, but I don't want you to go into meltdown and suffer withdrawal symptoms if by chance it doesn't.
Don't forget to leave space for Breakfast the following Morning Andy, although knowing you that wouldn't be a problem for you.
Not many of you coming to the official BM xmas meal then> pretty dissapointed but it seems you all prepared to travel in the cold!
I reserved 30 places and paid deposits grrr. ...moan over. Perhaps we need a new area organiser does anyone want to take it on? I have the list of last years events I can pass on and a list of events we thought about doing. Also there a need to organise a BM promotional stand to attend bike events in the SE ie Brands Hatch Superbikes and suchlike. All needs sorting soon...
I think people will go where they want to andy. As for official? Why?? Personaly i said from the begining the 7th was no good for me, these guys took this into consideration and changed their plans and arranged it for a day i could make, i was gobsmacked they would do that for me. Organisiing something doesn't obligate people to turn up and digging people out for it in a public forum doesn't look good on the mods. Just my thoughts.
xj, nought to do wiv the mod team....just saying Sarah and I saw there was nought set up for an xmas meal in Kent at all so wiv my 'official' event organisors hat on set up something, so thats as 'official' as it gets?
As for 'digging people' Sarah and I were dissapointed so many have chosen to travel to an event on a different date for an xmas get together. We considered an overnight at the other meal but by the time we did something about it the room price had increased. We will journey down to attend tho. As for changing the date to include you, if that was done each time someone cannot make a date nothing would ever get organised, is that a personal attack on us for not altering the date for you mate? No of course its not, your prescence will be greatly missed, just cannot please everyone. well done to Andy Simmo for sorting the venue and getting a good group together though and I sure with all of the people going it will be a great success, just a bit of a ride in the cold to the venue for us! woo woo roll on summer!
I'll be riding down from Greenwich... if anyone wants to join me on the way down, just let me know so we can arrange a meet.. A lot of fair weather riders out there stutts.. They will be traveling in their metal boxes so they don't get their toshies cold.. Was hoping Andy was setting up a ride on Sunday morning, (not too early of course)
I can't be help chuckle when I hear riders say "it's too cold" I used to do 60 - 80 miles per day with a dogteam at 35 below zero, 150 - 200 mile per day breaking trail in the same temp on a snowmobile.. So 66 miles on a dry road at 10 above is nothing but absolute pleasure..
I would be takin' me bike but the ski attachments I ordered from Honda won't be here until July. I also purchased trousers with a frontal routed anti freeze circulation system to maintain good working order of parts. They work fine but the 2 gallon reservoir attached to the back pocket hits the road when knee down in roundabouts, so they have gone back. Therefore, looks like the car for me. CB
