I would rather spend an hour in a sweet shop Steve and I only observed the cookie, I did not sample. Nor did I detour by that particular bakery on my way home, though I was tempted! 😋
I cancelled our 4-nights reservation through a dot com and rebooked 3-nights direct with the hotel, so we're coming down on Good Friday. The Teesdale still has rooms if anyone else is still considering, might be space in other places too; and a few brave souls will be camping if that floats your boat.
You wanna come to Hamilton and ride down with us alp? I've found a place near Alston for lunch and could even suggest it as a BM ride/meet destination - although we'll not to turning back!
I've put me hand deep into my pocket and resubscribed for a while... gotta be careful with me cash cos I'm a freeloading parasitic pensioner these days.
Anyway getting, gradually, to the point.
The Nook cafe on the A689 is the one you want Izzy / Shaz, I might even ride out to meet you up there.
I have 3 tables of 6 six reserved for Friday evening at the Teesdale but I now need to be able to make a decision on booking some more. Can you confirm if you are attending and if you are bringing anyone not on the attendance list which will give me the total numbers. Answers by Friday 11th March please or you can go hungry or even worse, sober.
Steve, we've booked full board at the Teesdale with a table reserved for 18:15 each night; not being aloof or owt, just felt it was a good deal and happy to have others join our table or merge us with yours if that's how it works out for the hotel on the night, however don't count us in your numbers. On the downside (for us), if you all eat elsewhere on Sat or Sun we'll be billy-no-mates back at the Tees lol.
PS, thanks so much for arranging all this, it goes well beyond just putting up an event - but then that's what you do!
As horrendous as everywhere else, and there is a post from one of the local garages warning of a 10p / litre risk by the end of the week. It might be a question of ride or eat by Easter 😱 But I've become a post covid lard-ball so a little less nutrition might do me good
