I blame the pressures of modern life. Why can't people just be happy with what they've got? Why must they always want want want? Why can't we just step back a little and realise all these electronic gadgets like mobile phones do not give us freedom? They tie us down. Computers create paper work and stress. Modern engines are harder to work on, yes I'm sure life 100 years ago was hard, but I bet it was a hell of a lot more satisfying to do a good job. Proper craftsmen not the computer generated rubbish of today that only lasts 12 months and 1 minute when the warranty runs out
