IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Unfortunately we received a call yesterday from the manager of the pub next door to the venue to say that she had just been told by the brewery (at 8am yesterday!) a planned refurbishment was now going to start this coming Monday so the pub will now be closed before the weekend of the rally and won't be available for the meals we'd organised just a fortnight ago!
We still have the catering wagon on site and are working hard to get a second catering outlet on site to try and give folk a bit more of a choice and ensure there are vegetarian options available. As soon as we have confirmation of the second unit we are using I will post it on thread.
Apologies to all those who have booked meals for Friday and Saturday night but unfortunately there is no other local pub to take on these bookings.
according to beer in the evening there are five pubs within a one mile walk of the site so only a few minutes walk away. there may be options there if people drift off to find they're own meals, and with several pubs less chance of them being unable to cope with everyone turning up at one place at the same time.

Not sure if any of these are open the 1 thing I do know is the distance from the venue is wrong as I know that the boat & railway is the closest and thats the pub that has just closed down will try and find out
Ok, I took the info from beer in the evening website so went by their distances on a postcode basis. There are some others listed as closed so didn't include them and assumed the rest are open, except the obvious one but didn't know it's name.
Thats ok simon any info could leed us to other options will try and get over again this weekend but BJ looked about a week or 2 back and didnt see any other pubs shops in walking distance I have been told of a pud in walking distance but have not been in or seen so cant really put it as an option without 1st checking it out myself
