Just seen in 'Derby Telegraph' newspaper...............
woman has 13 kids, 14th on the way, getting £4.200 family tax credit per month..... and she wants twins......... I'm not surprised !!
insurance companies!
Policy loaded (by 40 %) for having a no fault, no claim *incident/accident*.
Apparently being involved in a no fault incident makes you more at risk of being involved in another! WTF! Who makes this up??
If this is just from doing the right thing and declaring it to my insurance company, I'd hate to think what would have happened if I'd actually been at fault and/or made an actual claim on my policy.
I'm fuming but have no choice but to bend over and take it.
Did I mention I hate insurance companies! Sorry, not usually this sweary. Have to be very angry - WHICH I AM!
The company I dealt direct with was Bell (aimed at business users) but all the quotes on the comparison sites were the same. Leave off the accidents/incidents and it's miles cheaper but I have to declare them because I notified the insurance company at the time.
When speaking to the person at Bell and arguing with him about how they weren't claims he said it didn't matter.
I had the car scratched 3 times, I expect if I'd declared those I have 3 vandalism *claims* against me which I could understand if I'd actually claimed.
In the 16.5 years I've been driving I've only ever claimed on my insurance once - £500 for theft damage in 1998! And I've claimed once on someone else's insurance - when I got shunted on a roundabout whilst stationary earlier this year. I didn't even INVOLVE my insurance company in the claim, I claimed direct from the 3rd party!!
Can you tell I'm still spitting feathers over it!
Was sent this not sure which topic to put it in so have went for this one
The Urine test THIS GUY MAKES A GOOD POINTThis was written by a rig worker in North Sea - he makes a lot of sense!
I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to earn that pay cheque, I work on a rig for a drilling contractor. I am required to pass a random urine test, with which I have no problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare cheque because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand that I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do on the other hand have a problem with helping someone sit on their ass drinking beer and smoking dope. Could you imagine how much money the government would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a welfare cheque? Please pass this along if you agree or simply delete if you don't. Hope you will pass it along though, because something has to change in the UK, and soon!
Hearing Scotland is running low on grit for the roads???????????? WTF this country (Britain) is one of the most unprepered in the WORLD never mind Europe, a leaf on the track stops/delays trains, a bit of snow the worlds ending!!!!
I hate the fact that side roads in a City as large as Hull are not gritted as a matter of course, let alone the pavements!! Why do we pay our road and council taxes????
I had this out with a friend of mine the other night as her drive is sheet ice.
I asked her why she dosnt have a stash of grit in her shed that she could put down to keep drive and path outside her house clear.
Dosnt take up a lot of room and is always handy.
When I lived in Germany a few years back it was your responsibility to keep the path in front of your house clear and we all just got on with it. If you lived next door to an old or disabled person you would do theres as well.
