Emzed.. Very deep. If there was any other life form, I agree with Dave that it would be amoeba. Mush simpler life form, far less likely to do damage to the rest of its planet to. The human form has got to many limitations and is not the best design of all life.. But what do I know I'm an amoeba awake at 4 am!!

Don't believe in god either although i quite often blame him for things, lol. RE is optional. My mum and dad objected to me doing it and attending any religious services and that was way back then.. NOT anti religion tho.. just don't buy into it...
Men on the moon. Hmm only decent things on telly are the discovery channels etc.. After watching one on the moon landing and reasons it could not have happened believe it did not happen and was a political power stunt to win the space race..
If alien forms landed on earth before and created ancient civilisations (or hid amongst them) and their kin returned... Would they recognise them.. They may have evolved..

Children in supermarkets. Agree. Never tell a child your going to do something and not carry it out.. Tempted to tell the parents i'll do something and carry that out to... and yes I am a mum... A very mean mum apparently!
Why has it become wrong to chastise a child.. There is a world of difference between beating a child and smacking them... The meanings of the words seem to have got exaggerated. Also the reasons behind it seem to have shifted from a lesson to waiting til your so angry you lash out.. That's pointless. I'll face the consequences... She's my daughter and I will do my best to be a good mum to her and live with the consequences..
Why is it that when I have endured a 20 minute wait in a supermarket till queue and got to the front.. that 3 other tills become available?
Religion.......just don't buy into it either, my dad was a Quaker & took us to meetings when were young, didn't understand what was going on & he was reluctant to discuss it just told us to listen to what was said (think I was 8 at the time!) so I'm not interested.....lost another friend to cancer last week he was only 53 & my brother has only got a few weeks left, he is 53......how can there be a god when there is all this hate & suffering in the world?

Religion is for those that feel there must be something else other than THIS. I believe we only have THIS, so we have to make to most of it while we are able.
The things that have been done in the name of religion over the centuries has done far more harm than good. Religion was invented to control the masses by fear. Also some parts of religions are to control women, I won't mention them but is not fair on women and I wished that they could see that.
Most religions move the goal posts when it suites and mainly seem to be about money.
I decided years ago to opt out and I will go with a clear conscience knowing I have treated others in the way I would like to be treated. That hasn't always worked both ways, but there you go thats life.
I know all about Quakers, my family has been a Quaker family for generations, I'm not a practicing one, pretty much stopped with my dad. Organised religions are just another form of control and propaganda from certain Italian based churches. The Christian faith is made up of deliberate miss translations of ancient Hebrew. It is inner faith, don't hurt people or things, respect others' feelings, look after weaker people and always take a step back for a moment to see how your actions will effect others. I agree with you there mad munky.. Just treat people as you would wish to be treated yourself and you cannot go far wrong. I share the sentiment that the Christian faith is made up of deliberate miss-translations and in many respects a means of control, especially by instilling 'fear'. As Tiger Tim suggests, true religion can be seen as a belief in yourself/an inner faith. I can also relate to the 'sit down, shut up and listen' approach. Yet as children we were never encouraged to challenge or question all the contradictions and inconsistencies that just did not/do not tally .. I believe alot of what was written and read was deliberately destroyed to prevent us from understanding and making sense of our world... although I do not understand why..
God is defined as a Supreme Being, understood as Life/Truth/Love/ Soul/Spirit/Principle. Religion nothing more than a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature and purpose of the universe. As human beings we have to be able to prove our theories in a lab in order for something to be regarded as authentic .. Failing that, the line is drawn underneath it and deemed as mere twoddle.. 'Seeing is believing' after all.. In essence, there is nothing LESS scientific than to deny something because it cannot be explained..

Going off on a tangent here, but while on the subject of things from the past.. What happenned to white dog poo?
White dog poo is only achieved when dogs eat bones, hence the colour. Very few people nowadays give there pooch that as a treat. Instead they spend loads on TV advertised treats.
