The scamper away elsewhere sounds interesting. If L and I decide to join you we'll just book something as we go. An overnight at Ullapool sounds cool and getting accommodation midweek should be a doddle. Plenty of good pubs and in Ullapool and the ride up of course is pretty awesome. Not so sure about Wick, but might be up for a scamper to Durness and back.

Just back from Malta and got a call from the Lodge telling me theyve double booked me for the second weekend. Im now getting chucked out on Thursday!!! Seriously pissed off. Going to call them back tomorrow to find out what the hells going on as I made the booking months ago. Why does my life never run smoothly????? Lol. X
I agree with you H, Take it as it comes :-) Mrore than welcome to join us, Ped and I did this run last year, absolutely stunning roads and scenery, had a brilliant time. Will be my 4th time around the Highland coast road, and still looking foward to it !

This is starting to get a bit mixed up. Which nights are we at Fort Augustus . And where else are we staying and on which nights? I don't. Want to pay for camping and B&B on the same night .
Hi all, This looks an interesting soiree, so if ok, plan to partake in the festivities lol, maybe not all the week as I plan to be back home for the 25th. Do I have to pre-book camping in advance, hopefully can just book from day to day?? Peter
Hi Peter, be good to see you again. That's the beauty of a camping meet v-à-v B&B, you do what you can on your own timetable and pay as you go along, I'm sure the site management would like an idea of group size but they'll be well used to people dropping in on spec.
What's this about 'we' Dusty?. We're only 'we' when we're at Fort Augustus. If people have plans to make trips away, that's their business; if they want to tell us what those plans are and open it up to joining in that too is their choice. I'll be staying onsite and joining rides out and about during the day and joining in with a barbie and a drink in the evening. Looking forward to all your company. I might overnight somewhere, but it'll make up my mind as I go along (and, more importantly, look out from under canvas each morning). It's my holiday . But then, I'm lucky, I'll be back up to Ullapool a couple of weeks later to do stuff I might forego while at Loch Ness with you guys. x

Aiming to spend some time at Fort Augustus camping, then heading off to Skye, then Ullapool, then Durness, then back to Fort Augustus, for the last couple of days.

Anyone else interested get yer names down so I have some idea of numbers.
I've emailed Cumberlands to see if they have a particular bay reserved for us so we all end up in the same place and to confirm numbers. If I don't hear back by Monday I'll chase them up.

I now understand that I must not enquire about the plans of anyone else coz that is their business. I sincerely hope you don't stray to close to the bbq and burst into flames. Coz I have a feeling I won't need a pee at that time.
