Don't think it is xj, think Andy has only put a post on the forum at the mo?. When Andy went inside the old Butlers Emporium shop in george street the bugger was taking photo's of us lot looking in the window. See you at the Gamecock xj

tricksy little hobbitses. i hate looking at photos of me, it messes with my delusions of being good looking, suave and sophisticated. like the new profile pic, the place looks familiar.

after a lot of research, yes i was bored in work today, i think i have solved the mystery of spike milligans headstone. his wife sheelagh died in the middle of last year and was buried alongside him. the headstone was removed and sent off to be altered to reflect the fact they were both intered there and has not yet been replaced. we were in the right place and the settling grave we thought may have been the one was quite probably correct.

ok folks, Ive put fwd Gamecock pub eve next thursday and Bike show at Excel for saturday 4th,hopefully some of us can meet up there.. Bike show is £20 admittance....parking for bikes may be free need to check.... I suggest a meeting point arranged in advance with another an hour later for latecomings to join up... Need to look a venue layout to choose/check BM threads for more info as may be already sorted by someone else. I am going to move Pink Floyd to March and get it posted too as seems to be plenty of interest in that one....

Please fwd more ideas..list them here on this message. Just keep adding them to it and I will work from it... 1) A venue in Essex....? Ideally just over the bridge somewhere so Kent members find it easy to attend. 2) Rykas cafe Boxhill, dates to be set, say two more during summer. 3) A Brands Hatch Bemsee event....

Dave investigating this at the moment. 5) Someone mentioned the 'Pub in the Mud', more details please? 6) A party in late March for Andys Birthday!! 7) Run out to Imperial |War Museum Duxford. 8) Sunday 4th March Visit to Dover Castle, wartime tunnels and hospital. Entry is £16 . 9) Sat 31st March Heritage Transport show at Detling and run out for fish n chips possibly to Leysdown. 10) On first Thursday of each month a regular meet at the Gamecock PH alongside VJMC, this will give us a regular meet monthly and will bolster numbers of bikers to chat to. If you have a Jap Classic the VJMC is well worth joining.

Speedway at Arlington Stadium (Eastbourne Eagles) I've done a brief search and found the following info on home summer fixtures and admission price. MAY Saturday 5th at 7.30 pm v Coventry Monday 14th at 7.30 pm v Slangerup (FIM SCC) Saturday 19th at 7.30 pm v Swindon JUNE Saturday 2nd at 7.30 pm v Poole Saturday 16th at 7.30 pm v Reserved Monday 18th at 7.30 pm v Indianerna (FIM SCC) Saturday 30th at 7.30 pm v Reserved JULY Saturday 21st at 7.30 pm v Birmingham Sunday 29th at 7.30 pm v Wolverhampton AUGUST Saturday 4th at 7.30 pm v Peterborough Saturday 18th at 7.30 pm v Lakeside Sunday 26th at 3.30 pm v Kings Lynn The admission is £ 17 Each meeting consists of 15 races of 4 laps each. Apparently Arlington is one of the smaller stadiums on the speedway circuit, but speeds still reach around 45-50 MPH. Perhaps we could meet up in the morning ride to THE SIX BELLS at Chiddingly for some Nosebag (a bikers pub) & then go for a rideout to say Brighton which isn't that far away, then return to the stadium for the speedway via Beachy Head????, open for discussion. Thought i would throw it into the pot and see what happens. Regards Dave

Another suggestion for day out is The Cuckoo Spring Fayre at Laughton near Lewes 2nd,3rd&4th of June. Has all the usual attractions: Bikes, Military Vehicles, Trucks,Traction Engines, Auto Jumble + stalls various, Tractor Pulling, Heavy Horses ( Yeah i know Horses are heavy before someone passes a comment)etc etc over 10 acres. Oh looky looky this event is close to THE SIX BELLS at Chiddingly there's a coincidence innit . Admission is 8 quid Regards Dave

Tell me about it Andy, its been too many years since i last went to the TT 1994. I'll see what other info i can dig up on The Cuckoo Fayre and post it, its also not that far from WESSON's cafe at Horam. I suppose its the time of year when various events are going to be staged you just have to choose which you are able to attend?? Dave
