liking the last pic with the two bikes i think its good you cant necessarilly tell what sex htey are but you can guess...
this way it shows that its also for mates to meet up as well as couples.... its all about meeting and socialising and matching if you meet that right someone whatever sex you are....... but two bikes is good...and the idea of one big light on one bike and two on other made me giggle like it hahahaha ooooh matron more tea vicar ......

yus i have to say i like the one you posted at 16.35 too - the colours and sprocket and BM logo etc look good - wondering if it might be good witha bike on therre where them little men are...

I like but think the text should be the same colour as one of the figures. I also like the sprockets in the background.
Matt, you said 'little men' I think one should depict a female, say put a belt in the waist area, making the waist smaller?

I also think it needs to specify motorcycling rather than "biking" - could me pushbikes. Think it should still have some kind of bike on it rather than just sprockets or whatever
mike's 1st idea will have to change because 1) Red and blue do not go well on a purple background. I chose light shades of orange and green for a reason (represents neither gender and it works with purple behind) 2) There needs to be shading, lighting and gradients like in mine. I wont use anything for the site that looks like 1990's Microsoft Paint... flat plain colours, etc. It's too "2D" and "Oldschool web". This is 2012 now, everything needs shading and needs to stand out. 3) definitely no hearts. I decided that after I put hearts on one, just makes a good picture "cheesy"
The bikes the best one yet, no jelly babies!! just wish you'd make up your mind Matt, are you doing it so it's an easy transfer to bannersize for rallies etc??
That's the problem with the one's mike has made... they're not vectors. Yea they look ok a few cm wide on your computer screen, but put them on a 3m wide banner for rallies and they're all pixelated. The images need to be in vectors, or converted (and it's not so simple converting)
Also, the bike idea will still need to be brought into 2012 by a professional. It's too "Flat" now. Even the current BM logo has some shading to it and it's 5 years old.

Whether people come to the site for dating, socialising whatever, at the end of the day the crux of the site is BIKING and IMO 2 jelly babies with what I eventually worked out to be visors(actually someone told me) don't really cut it as representing bikes/bikers.
Yeah Jackie it's Matt's site and it's his decision what goes on it, but he is at least being democratically minded enough to ask users opinion and explain why and why not some ideas are usable, and I agree that there will be some not happy with the final outcome but hey aint that life .....All I can say is....Roll on KISS...
that wasn't a final design. My friend is going to redesign the visor, maybe put a black edge to it to make it stand out more and also look like "Aggressive" as I don't like that.
Old Red i agree its great that Boss Man is asking for opinions and the feedback has been awesome. Was just trying to point out that whatever is choosen will not be to everyones taste, unlike me of course lol
