Hahahahaha Lindsay yes it may be slightly thawed 😂😂😝😝
I've just taken dog out and my boaty is covered in a light dusting of white stuff which looks pretty 💖 but I scraped it off my solar panels...

Just got back from dropping Stuie in Sheffield, light snow coming down around Jct 35 on M1, nothing to shout about. The rest of the way home was clear not a single flake hit the windscreen. Got out of the car n it's bitingly cold.

Looking forward to an evening with friends tonight, wondering if big boots, snow suit, mittens and ear muffs with a brightly coloured scarf may look too out of place in the pub ... 😮

It feels like one of those moments ... underdressed everyone will THINK you are stark staring bonkers, overdressed everyone will KNOW you are!

"I am just going outside. I may be some time"

Bitingly cold and as I thought can frozen over this morning.... Had to get water and that's a way back behind me e I needed to turn boat.... Can't turn boat against the ice, will only go straight on... So fun and games with mate, one of us leaning off boat smashing ice with pole and other steering..... Git there in the end
Gloves soaked from wet ropes, then freezing.... Hands bright red and legs and toes numb
But I've a full tank of water yayyyy and Im back moored where I started and thawing out!!!

Scary!!!! Not had snow this heavy on boat before 😰 the canal is just like one big snow lump!! The boats are all covered in what must be at least a foot now and I keep knocking it off the cover in back deck and front bow but in minutes it's back thick again....... It's coming down really heavy.... It's beautiful and can't wait to get out and throw snowballs but also can't wait to chat to other boaty mates...... It's a quite exciting and an adventure..... I'll take more pics...gotta keep an eye on the weight and distribution on me boaty too...... Arrrrrggghhhhh

About 2" of snow so far, so I think we're getting off lightly compared to many of you.

No snow here in west Cornwall, but then that's expected. Gale force winds with blue skies and random isolated rain/hail storms.. But it's freezing haha

#disappointedfromG-Town Hope all is well on the canal, I have visions of you wrapped up in a gazillion jumpers n scarves, with fingerless gloves wrapped around a steaming cup of hot choccie!

We have very hot solid fuel burners and I've also got an Eberspacher which is a diesel powered radiator central heating..... So no cold in the boat..... It's just outside!!!! But it seems to be thawing a bit now and me and neighbouring boat are off up pub in a min..... Fire left on low and I come home to snug..... I scraped loads snow off.... I'm such a drama queen pmsl......... Hot chocolate and baileys sounds good...... Your alegend.... I hangover!!

It's lovely and bright, clear blue skies and fabulous winter sunshine here in Leeds, looks fab! However, I have not yet stepped out of the tropical temperatures in the office ...

Snow on Sunday, but ventured out with a friend (in Passat) to have lunch at Lower Lode Inn...snow got deeper and heavier the closer we got..and their chefs had not shown up...starving, so we detoured into Tewksbury to the Anchor..they have a takeaway food service in the courtyard...return journey to drop off amigo and hound was okay, but home leg was entertaining with abandoned cars and deep snow peppering Gloucestershire..:)

Snow nicely compacted on towpath and frozed.... So little slippy but it all looks so oooo beautiful. Canal frozen over with thick ice.... Just watching the rabbits on back opposite scraping away snow to get the grass and add in watching a sparrowhawk swoops in, lands momentarily about 10ft from rabbits, then flies towards my window and up over my boat..... Also seeing a lot of winter visitors of birds...... Gosh I love my nature hide.... Aka my boat!!
