Warm, dry and sunny everywhere except the 200 yards of hill outside my house, which is still covered in snow. A hint from Gaia that I shouldn't get the bike out today?
Yesssss thank youuuuu It's thawing........ But now I can see all the weird green and brown stuff....... I'm. Missing the snow already..... PMSL 😂 😂 😂...... I can say that now ive a boat full of provisions..... 😂
I've spent 2hours clearing the ice n snow from turning point in the street. Hope it doesn't freeze again... Managed to clear 1.5" thick ice with a snow shovel, elbow grease, a few swear words n determination. I've really earned a cuppa tea n feet up moment!

We've had a little overnight snow but nothing of any consequence. Still icy out there.
On the plus side the turning point on the street is absolutely clear 👍. Rock salt, after clearing it of snow n ice obviously did the trick😀
Oh and the icicle that has been growing outside the bedroom window since Tuesday is now dripping well, so hopefully that means that Mother Nature has got bored with painting everything white.
This weekend has been like spring, crazy.... Wednesday, Thursday the land and beaches were covered in snow. Early hours of Friday morning it rained . No snow left apart from the snowmen... yesterday was sunny and calm. Today is the same.. time for a stroll on the beach... Have a good day x
Still 2 inches at least of ice covering the canal!!! Thought it might all thaw but nooooo.... So me and other boaties are still not able to move...... Fetched 50 litres drinking water in car and barrowed back along towpath and put in boat tank The ice is worse round corner..... Oh well it's all fun and games 😊😊 🤣🤣
Something bright 🔆 in the sky us trying to make an appearance 😘😘😍😍 Canal now has patches of sheer solid ice where rain fell on melting ice..... 😂..... I get me jet ski out.... At least it's milder temps thank you 😊
What a difference 48 hours can make, from being under a foot of snow and freezing to a lovely sunny and fairly warm spring day. Daffodils are now standing up again after being flattened, snow has all but gone and the birds are more active, even took the blade out for a quick blast to the bank and the phone has been ringing with work coming in for summer, nice!
