I could go on and say it's 'southerners arrogance' however I know enough southerners to know that generalisation is Generally tho unfortunately not always, wrong.
All I will say is Just because peeps ride a bike does not mean you are a great person that's the first true word spoken, ok written, Or any closer to becoming my friend is not MY loss I can live with that !
As other have said before dont put all us women in the same basket. There plenty of men on site who do the same as what you accuse us of .
I found this site by accident and have enjoyed all the events of been to and meet some brillant people many are now new friends and looking forward to next years outings

Ha. Well I am always telling my niece to fix it herself & most guys drop at her feet. Actually. What you said kaycat was quite good. I am impressed. As you have already looked at my profile you will see I had a few bikes n this is only a few of them. However I have maintained all of them & rebuilt most of them. Its not really a hard thing to do. However I am also a welder fitter fabricator & also do pattern work which incidentally reminds me of my sisters cutting cloth with the latest pattern from a little packet of shaped tracing paper. I see your wearing a corset. I made corsets out of steel. I will put a pic or 2. I will pm you to view in my profile.-)
I laugh in the face of this attention seeking male calling himself 'ajg' who is so inadequate has to lash out, collectively categorising women on this site. I for one have no interest or desire to get your approval. I am very grateful however, to the manner-able, genuine men AND women on this site who have taken the time to help me with my bike when I have asked for assistance, receiving valuable advice.

Think ajg is on the wrong site. There's plenty of sites around to accommodate his needs I'm sure. Perhaps he should throw his money at those, instead of BM. Just to reiterate to him, BM is a social networking site, first and foremost, not a dating one. Where friendships and relationships have been forged out of sociability, not something he knows much about, clearly. Don't think anyone on here is interested in hearing about his sexual prowess.... or lack of. So glad he's not interested in meeting any of us as I'm sure the feeling is reciprocated. Oh sorry ajg, used a few big words there... must try to remember how ignorant and ill educated we are ... sorry I have bitten, I'm sure that is what he is after ... seems to be a woman hater after someone peed on his parade
I think BM is what people want it to be. There are many members who are in some sort of relationship, probably met through BM but now for them it would be a social networking site. I joined to find like minded people to ride with and a pillion rider. For me that worked.
Yes!!! Social gatherings with bike minded people. Think we can safely say that BM have those!!!! some people meet and get together which is great but primarily its a site for people to meet others they would never, otherwise, have met and thats what makes it a social networking site, rather than a dating site where friendships across the UK are made. Partnerships... all the better... still waiting :-)

Feckin BT AAArrrrrrggggghhhhhh..... 'You'll have your broadband by midnight on the day of your connection' ........ Yeah right, wish I could tell fibs like that and as expected, no I haven't ..... Fell for it hook, line & sinker. And set myself right up for disapointment when I awoke this morning.
Subsequent telephone call ..... 'Your conection has been delayed, we'll contact you in due coarse with your new connection date' (automated) right so when is that... later? today? tomorrow?

Solution, after eventually getting to speak to someone and holding for 40 minutes. 'Sir it may be done by end of play today or tomorrow'

Yes Kaycat, Biker Match started out as a dating site, a sister site to Bike Chat.
It has evolved, as you say, along the way into a busy social site.
We're a close-knit community and dislike it when anyone slags off the site, its members and staff before getting to know how things work. Complaining about lack of responses as if they are an automatic right doesn't help either.

bomb doctor I know what you mean, there seems to be a distinct lack of activity when it comes to the admin side of the service providers.
I was with NTL, now taken over by Virgin Media, and they were the same, flakey. The service is fine, always has been (hope I'm not speaking too soon) but I dread having to contact the admin for anything as they never seem to get it right.
Dont hold ur breath bomb doctor! FECKIN BT!!!!! glad its not just me - fecked them off and gone with the Post Office for my phone. They tried to charge me over 300 quid for 2 months service including a charge for "cancelling" my broadband!
BT are a bunch of lying b*****ds! told me for 6 weeks my broadband would "be on tomorrow" - knowing damn well my address was outside normal bandwith and they couldnt possibly provide it! had to get a satellitte dish to get broadband - thanks Avanti! set it up and working in a week or so despite having to send an engineer from england and paid for courtesy of DETI (government dept! )

Yeah there deffo doin my head in at the moment Now it may be a maintainance problem and if not on today, the dept dealing with me can't review it untill Monday. So I guess no tinterweb till after then and no doubt more phone calls needed.... HHHhmmmppphhh
