I haven't done anything on my bike today, honest, I wasn't there, not even in the same town. Anyway there are loads of bikes out there that look like mine, and anyone who says that it was me, is lying. And their noses will grow to the kind of proportions that will prevent them from putting on their helmet.
Put some petrol in little Yam

It's ready to ROLL

Listen out for me Vlad, you'll hear me before you see me
Short ride down to the H Cafe and Heli Bike day, listened to quite an impressive band and chatted with some old friend infact it turned out to be a bit of a cracking day
Rode to Rivington Barn (on my own!) Hadn't intended sgoing straight there or staying but a wobble incident, when a nobhead tried to overtake me whilst I was overtaking a tractor, meant I missed my turn and I decided best thing to do was go where I knew and get a cuppa to chill out a bit.
Then, just I was ready to head home I lost my bike key, eventually found it (left it in the loo and a lady found it!) and discovering other people were there made a it into a lovely afternoon. Rode home with Photographer 1 following me on his trike. Don't think I made him too nervous
Not my bike, but has my derrierre indented into the pilly saddle!!!
Glorious day, so was pillynapped once again to ride over the east Yorkshire Wolds - lovely - and ended up at Bridlington, for fresh air - lots n lots of it - and yummy things to eat - namely icecream and doughnuts!!!!
Rode back from a great time at NABD Rally ...what a way to celebrate my birthday..thanks Keith for your hospitality & Debs for coming with me..lovely to see old & new faces..comedy tent & bands were good!!
Looked at it in the garage before i set out for yet another nightshift. I neeed to win the lottery unless there are any 'Sugar Mommies' on here ?????????????
Some nice things and some not so nice on my bike this weekend
Despite my attack of the collybobbles late thursday night cos of the weather forcast, bungied all my camping clobber onto the bike, got daughter's bf to help lever me into the seat and rode to the 'Dent in the Dales' weekend. Had to cope with fog / low cloud through the higher bits, and it was dark when I got there, but enormous buzz of achievement when I arrived.
Saturday morning rode back to Kendal through really dense fog for bike lesson. Absolutely horrible ride....dense fog ALL the way and bike playing up. Choke stuck on intermitant & then wouldn't tick over at all. Bike lesson was awful cos I was kangaroo lurching around all over the place . Instructor tried to help but drew a blank, so lesson abandoned & bike put in shop for new choke cable & spring.
...But went to get some spare bike keys cut so could leave em with the mechanic and discovered my (one and only) key was bent, cracked & about to break ....thank goodness it didn't break in the ignition!...my bike certainly chose a good time to throw a wobbly cos I'd rather be coping with the repairs it needs than having to sort out a key broken in the lock
Still got out on the lovely ride out saturday afternoon, but pilly this time and put bad feelings in the past with an old chum I fell out with a while ago
Yesterday was excellent, witha trip up to Rivington Barn where I met loads of BM peeps!
Today, the run into Manchester, although short, gives me a smile on my face as I walk in to work, then when I get off at home I'll have a smile on my face again, no matter how good or bad the day has been!
Its a sorry from me posted in newby I looked at the Beema after 978 mile ride out in the rain you can picture it in your minds so what to do? i know im going to put it in the garage and clean it tomorrow i hope all of you are all well and riding happy.........M
today, speedfour 600 back in the fold after open heart surgery for duff alternator, and fresh m.o.t......lovely ride in the sun, bike running well....fingers crossed xxxx
My poor bike lives outside & virtually every time it's stopped raining long enough to go out for a ride this summer, it's been raining again by the time I get home...Even when I got home & it wasn't raining it was raining before the pipes had cooled enough to put the cover on! gggrrr , damn Cumbrian weather
Managed to cover her up nice and snug after ride out this morning, yeay!
But not before having to evict several spiders and woodlice out of the cover....a moth even fluttered out!
went to Moreton in the marsh TODAY (cOTSWOLDS), tea and coffee and walnut cake in the sun, then on to Bourton on the Water, fish and chips in the sun. Lovely sunny day, would have been a crime to waste it.
