To be honest, I have never owned a Harley and not had any experience with them, until a couple of weeks ago when I rode a CVO Blackline.... wow... I couldn't believe it and I loooved it. So comfortable... or am I getting old...? hahahaha And it was not slow or tractor like at all... fast as f....
So each to their own, if we were all busdrivers there would be no passengers....
Ex Harley rider (fxrs lowrider) Collective noun for a bunch of Harleys. How about ....
A 'pose' of Harleys. Lol
I did a lot of engine work on mine (my hands , my spanners). It would go like sh*t off a shovel . Amazing realy coz it was an Evo (block head) and it was my mate that had the shovel , lol Shhh , the carb was a Mikuni HS40.
I certainly posed on mine , mostly to other Harley riders on stock machines. Any one can buy a Harley but that don't make you a Harley rider. Just as owning a bike doesn't make you a biker.
Harley Davidson engineering is absolutely superb . Engineering from a bygone age . Jap bikes are built as a disposable product . No bushes , no bearings . Just high pressure oil . Coz that will make a lighter engine and a cheaper engine. But a limited lifespan engine. Ya can still buy genuine parts for a 1936 knucklehead. Comparing your jap bike to a Harley is like comparing your bic biro to a dunhill fountain pen . Harleys are the last motorcycle that the owner can have a genuine love affair with. A bag of spanners (af) a shed and a lifetime with one motorcycle .
As you've probably guessed . Wot really winds me up is bic biro owners with no soul . Dusty x
Oi. As a member of the Bic Biro Appreciation Society I take umbrage about that. In fact I'm gonna write to the Daily Wail. Ah feck... me pens knackered again!
Hahaha Dusty yes it is a brill word innit? Fogot all about it until other day when someone in my work said it when they were annoyed with summat someone said......cool idea for a thread....how many different ways can you use the word 'umbrage'...... LOL
