Home safe [after minor detour I took wrong turn lol] Had great day glad to see some old friends and some new ones. Thanks Wacker for "sheparding" me on Motorway ,Hope you got home OK m8
What a beautiful day, thanks Weather Pixies, you rawk!
A great ride down to Matlock via The Strines and Bamford. I just love those roads. Tina you are a , pleased the names you were calling Stu, were kept in your head .
George, the stoppy was a sight to behold.
Lovely to see so many friendly faces, hope to catch up again with you all soon.
Stu, don't fret about the gearbox, I'm sure we will resolve the problem one way or another . Btw, do you know that I quite like you?!?!
None of you were aware that I had a camera on my bike, so I got some footage as we were riding .... no I wasn't fiddling with them while we were riding, they are hard-wired and always on ...
Anyways ... if you would like to re-live The Strines I have put it on YouTube ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dk4BXEPVGDU This is me, and Sandi, following the 'ladies' on the Bandit 1200 hooligan bikes.
A big MILLE GRAZIE to everybody for not lapsing into comas as i waffled for England, to all and sundry..had a great time. X Even forgot to use the digital camera in my tankbag..(wally!)
@ Andy and Eric...were you off somewhere stuffing your faces when the photos were being taken? That will explain why Eric hid behind a giant icecream cone
Oo blooming fibber Eric, I didn't have my eyes closed, but I was praying
Eric, thanks for putting the vid up. I LURVE that road. I'm sure BokFink n Brunette Biker (aka The Bandooligans!) have similar sort of feelings about The Strines.
It was lovely to see Stu's old house, just as you turned onto the road from the traffic lights at the beginning. Good times, fab memories.
As for eyes shut, I was too busy looking at the ever changing landscape, wildlife, including the peacock wandering across the road in front of The Strines Inn ( good place for food btw)
I'll try and get sound sorted out, had to strip it out because it sounded like something was flapping around in the wind, and didn't have time to put a soundtrack on it ...
