First opportunity for me to ride out for a while with it not for commuting! :)
Not really a proper meet, but I'll be riding down to Kent Motorcycles on the Dover road on Sunday to do some research (I'm liking this project so much ;) ), and I'll probably be in H's cafe sometime between 10 till 12.
Any one riding around that area, feel free to drop by and say hello.
Hi Pharoah, a few of us going to London show sat, u wanna join in?
As for Sunday at Hs cafe, why not?
Not sure the food is up to much there but happily drop in fer a chat there and perhaps off to Canterbury for breki if its not too late for a proper cafe, ie The Sportsman...
Anyone else around Sunday morning?
Dave, Ive put up July 21st against Brum for Speedway!! Meet at Six Bells for lunch at 1pm,rideout at around 2-30-3.00...finish at Arlington Stadium around 6 ish......racing at 7-30, finish 10 ish?
Well done Dave.
Now...wessons....wat we got for that one mate?
Anyone else for ideas/routes/ et?
Yeah, agree on the food, but they're a friendly outlet for me, so I'm really looking at bikes (or rather, parts thereof) then reflecting in the cafe. TBH I'll probably not even get past their coffee ;)
Unfortunately, this sat and Sunday aft. are spoken for (my nieces brthday, and a promised swim session with my daughter), but next Sat I've got the whole family up at Excel, so it's a car journey. Once I know some faces however, well probably see people up there - we're there all day as we're booked into the last Revolutions show of the day.
Perhaps we could ride into Brighton and spend a couple of hours there, then ride back along the coast road and go up over Beachy Head and on to Arlington Stadium in time for the racing ?????
Gonna have to give the Wesson's idea some thought ( not to much cos it hurts !!)
Dave !
Hi all, just seen the 'meet' at the Gamecock on the 2nd Feb, errrm this coming Thursday, lol.
I do hope to see you all there, but, (there is alway's a 'but', lol) i am working away during the week, so very much doubt that i will be there, just hoping my contract changes, and be back south in time, finger's crossed, tightly, lol.
Regards.
Brat.
Been at Brothers in Hampshire all day - just came back round the M25/ M20 dodging gritter wagons the entire way. May well be re-evaluating visit tomorrow morning as it gets even colder in local area due to a ground oddity - just getting off our estate onto decent roads is often an issue.
Will try to get there, but we'll see. Cold I don't mind, but it may be dangerous as well if the councils are not over-reacting.
Oh considering a trip to Canterbury Marlowe to see the Bootleg Beatles..Sunday 25th March, tickets £25,7-30.
What about an afternoon ride around Whitstable/Margate/go see the Hornby Museum, etc finishing up at Canterbury for the concert? Anyone interested? If you are I wil sort out the details.
Well for people who thought about H's and didnt - good!
I started off from Rochester on the bike then went back and switched to car after about five miles. Freezing fog that was getting thicker, suspicious wet dark patches on the road, and no matter what I did, couldn't keep the visor clear.
Fog remained all the way to the A2 Canterbury turn-off when it turned to freezing rain with equally slimy roads. Not a good day for a vist, really, but my intent was photographing bikes in a nice warm showroom, so no loss.
