Christ!!! oer is that allowed? Wat a can of worms we opened here folks.
Johny, I think Jac was right in her interpretation of the rules BUT it is also clear your pics are of a profesional person going about his job and from an established known member of good standing.
So..Matt is right to suggest a modification of the rules and your rewrite looks good to me.....maybee tho there shouldnt be more than say 25% of anyone persons profile pics showing a weapon....
I feel for all involved here.....not easy being a mod and not nice when your treasured pics are deleted either.
Great to see you all trying to resolve the situation now, well done all. Andy
At the end of the day guys no one is offended by it...
Its common sense when something is offensive and out of the spirit of things and we all know it....you have to use your judgement or else we will all become Germans ( No offence to any Germans used jokingly) there is a big difference between say an armed Policeman or soldier stood in a picture doing his job compared to Jethro out hunting pigeons or the duty mong trying to look hard with a shot gun. People doing there job in a professional manner is all......
if we follow the rules to the letter half the pictures on profiles are not recent and clear, some are either years old or wishful thinking...
All I ask for is a little common sense applied to those of us who carry a fire arm and have one or two pics holding one its no big deal unless someone makes it one.
Haven't got a problem with Jackie or Boss Mom guys they no i don't, its healthy debate.... and they are right in what it says in the rules...but rules can be changed if they are unreasonable or can be modified to represent people better and i feel my pictures represent a big part of what i do and are never aggressive or unprofessional in nature. I take them and add to my profile..I think its lets my friends see what Im up to as Im off the gtid for long periods of time...
Truth being told I most of them pics up a few years ago whilst in the Marines and added a few when I did something else, was only a few pictures out of lots
but suppose I will end up having to delete them all but it will have to be another time as I am off to work and off shore in pirate land for a week or so....have fun people, capn Jack Sparrow watch out here I come....
See Karen's point about it being simple to follow now.
I think it's best if mods continue to discuss this offline and come up with a proposal. I too would like people like Johnny and our many other armed forces officers to be able to proudly show what they do.
Well, I am glad Johnny's situation is heading towards a solution but I still haven't got clarification on the penis extension thing!!
(it's not for me... it's for a friend...)
Sandi - having spent some time with medical students when my then-girlfriend was training to be a doctor, I am afraid I am not surprised by how you were treated. Patients are such an inconvenience to them!
Sick to death of companies thinking they are above the law. Despite my ex paying through his wages to support his child his company have kept hold of the money and are refusing calls etc. from CSA chasing it. Meanwhile I'm just supposed to cope while we wait for an inspector to go round who will prosecute them but I won't get any of the fine they end up paying despite being the one struggling since November because they've only ever made one fking payment!!
Doing my head in now, sorry folks.
V if a DEO is in place for maintenance, it still does not negate your ex's responsiblity to ensure his employer pays it:
They should not only be threatening his employer but also him, as he should be having a go at payroll because of what they are doing,if the monies never get paid, say cos the business goes under then your ex will still be liable to pay it.
You would not get any of the fine cos its so expensive to implement and the fine just covers the costs.
I know how hard it is when people don't pay up, however even with a DEO in place there are ways round paying, and some will job hop so it cannot be enforced.
My advise would be to any parent with care of kids do not rely on it, the CSA is a free service and we do what we can to collect what is owed, but its not always possible, and there are thousands of situations where someone can be assessed such that he pays nothing and any debt is frozen indefinitely, tho it is never removed.
In short, hope your ex knows its still his debt till his boss pays it to the agency.
Thanks for the heads up. If it doesn't get sorted I'll have to let him know - although he's probably just read the above.
I don't think it's fair that he's had the money deducted but is still considered liable, but then that's our stupid systems in this country.
Why is it that some people cant comprehend what you mean even if you use diagrams, charts, stickmen drawings and the basic of all english language !!!!
Errrmmm hope you're not referring to me Jackie?! I'm a bit thick like that meself sometimes, no matter what someone says/does etc if I just don't get it, I just don't get it! .
