Seal Shore camp site is situated on it's own private beach with views of Ailsa Craig and where seals and porpoise can be seen playing.
It has hot showers (included in cost) toilet blocks, covered kitchen area with microwaves and covered meeting area.
Bonfires are allowed on the beach area (as long as we clear up afterwards). There is a pub next door to the camp site that does meals. Most importantly, the sea breeze keeps the midges away, allegedly.
The owner, Morris, has given us a deal - regardless of the size of tent at £7.00 per person per night. Deposit of £10.00 would be due by January 2012 to secure a pitch.
Ferry Details: 2012 prices are not available at the moment so will give 2011's to give an idea of costs:
Bike £31.00 then £10.10 per person return crossing valid for 5 days including days of travel. These will increase a little for 2012
Only 9 bikes can cross at one time so advanced booking is advised on 0800 066 5000 this on the Ardossan to Brodick crossing.
If 12 persons are crossing at the same time there will be a small discount if all paid together.
