Event: Scots Borders Camping W/End CANCELLED

The Tibbie Shiels Inn and campsite is situated half way between Moffat and Selkirk on the A708 between 'the loch of the Lowes'' and 'St. Mary's loch'

Moffat can be accessed from the M74 Jct 15 Learner riders can use the B7078 which runs parralel to the M6/M74 from carlisle M6 Jct 44.

If you're on the East coast you could travel via the A68 and turn off for Hawick then up to Selkirk.

The campsite has about 100 pitches.

Fires are allowed and they sell bags of logs

A full 'Scottish' breakfast is £7.00 price correct at July 17th.
They also do lunch and evening meals, including Aberdeen Angus steaks.

RIDES OUT
The Borders are sparsely populated and the roads fairly deserted.
The road quality is good.

Saturday, 10:30ish approx 100 miles taking in the world famous ROSSLYN CHAPEL, entrance fee £9.00 if required and returning via THE GREAT STATUE OF WILLIAM WALLACE.
A 21 foot plus 10 foot plinth sandstone likeness of the great man himself.

Sat evening: in the pub and by the lake.

Sunday 10:30ish tba. If it's roads you want, the A7, A69, A68 is an interesting circuit.

If it's culture, Floors and Thirlstane castles are beautiful beyond belief.

A ride out to Berwick is also a possibility.

TWO RULES FROM THE MANAGEMENT
Alcohol is permitted on the campsite, but only if purchased from the bar .
Quiet please from midnight.

Our camping area will be as far from the Tibbie as possible but sound does travel in such a quiet place.
