Event: Squires to Whitby The Scenic Route

Gentle ride out from Squires Cafe through to Whitby for fish and chips.

The route will be avoiding main roads as much as is reasonably possible but will be going through some of the more prettier areas of the North Yorks Moors.

This is to include the B1363 from York to Helmsley and then across the Moors through Rosedale Abbey and Grosmont instead of the usual A169.

Presuming time allows, a visit to Goathland where Heartbeat was filmed will also be included. There will be several stops along the way for fag breaks and cuppas should people need them. Also the route is suitable for 125s and newbies who are all very welcome.

Route details and simple maps will be available for anyone wanting to travel at their own pace. If enough people turn out for the ride out we may have more than one group anyway and this could consist of a steady group and a not so steady group

We will be meeting at Squires at around 10.30am, leaving at 11.00am. So if you want a cuppa and a bacon sarnie before we go, you need to arrive earlier.
