The aim is to form a circle of bikers dressed in red riding Clockwise around the M25 making the biggest Poppy in the World.
This year there is also a second Ring of Red rideout around the M60 those who live further north.
The rides are intended to present a physical show of support for our Armed Forces, both current and previous. Not every biker goes to a remembrance service on this day, but I do know that they Respect our armed service men and women. This is just another way of showing it.
The Ring of Red event was an idea by Julia Stevenson, a well known respected biker who also co-organises the Ride of Respect Rideouts. Julia is also the founder of the annual Lee rigby Memorial Ride to Woolwich. Julia is assisted by a team of admins who all help organise the different events.
It is a non-profit event with all monies raised from any donations will be given to the chosen charity this year, 'The Invicta Foundation'
This is the link regarding starting point around M25 and tells us how to ride in a way that the idea should work.
The address is dependent on what starting point you choose.
As an address has to be shown on the event submital, I have showned the Thurrock Services Address in Essex.
