Set in the picturesque village of Porlock, 9 miles from Minehead. Cream teas, thatched roofs and a slow pace of life, it's the ideal place to 'chill'. There's plenty of eateries and 3 great pubs all serving reasonably priced great cuisine, the first pub 20 yards from the campsite gate, the others 5 mins away. There's a couple of convenience stores, a Chinese restaurant, chip shop, camping supplies shop and the usual tourist shops. There are views of the sea off the site and access to the SSI salt marsh 15 mins walk from the campsite. Porlock Weir harbour is a couple of miles ride away.
This is a campsite I have used for many years, very biker friendly, loos, showers, washing up facilities and a limited number of hook ups if needed (pre book only).
£10 pppn, and hook ups £5 per night.
Easy to find, from the north, M5 junction 23 (Bridgewater) , from the south, junction 25 (Taunton) head towards Minehead on the A39, continuing to Porlock. The road branches, straight on to Bossington, left to Porlock and first right into Meadowhayes Road and Sparkhayes is at the end.
I have booked with the site owner from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th. If anyone wants to make it a long weekend or more of it then please pm me asap.
Unfortunately there is a LIMIT OF 30.
