I have booked the friday off work to head up for the rally, so assuming I get myself & bike loaded early enough for this I may well be joining you, although it will seem somewhat pointless for me to head south 15 miles down the A1 just to head north again.

I think you're right, there is a cheap copy of you XJ, the real one (you) got a XJ900F and the dodgy one rides around on a silver XJ900 Diversion and he is easy to spot, He stands at the bar paying for the beer so it's flowing like water for all of the real XJ's buddies.

11-30 for a 12 Noon leave on the 30th May from
South Mimms Services Jct 23, M25.

for the run up to Derbyshire.
We will be using the M25/M1 and should take about 2-1/2 hours to cover the 125 miles. with possible stop at Watford Gap for small fuel tanks or bladders.
We decided on using the motorway because some members would have already had covered 100 miles just to get to this meeting point.
However if any members are on L-Plates would like to ride up there, I will lead a second group on A roads taking between 3-1/2 to 4 hours to get there (I will only do this for learners).
So plonk you names down on the list so we know who's going to meet up with us.

My seat has been called many things over the years, but "looonnng" is not one of them , is Mandie aware of this arrangement ??, better put a couple of lbs extra pressure in the tyres then.

The question I am asking myself is "am I a Southern Southerner or a Southerly Southerner " ??. I would appreciate it very much Mark if you would clarify the situation for me as you seem to know most things .
yes dave i am impotent, umm no i mean omnipotent, err or is that omniscient. definitely a southern southerner anyhow. and as for maudlin maidstone, i beg to differ and feel i must stand and make myself heard over this crass and indeed gross misrepresentation of the town in which i do not live. maudlin maidstone indeed. i think you will find miserable maidstone a much more accurate description.
