Today, me and three mates took a ride out from York to Whitby for fish and chips.
The return run was via the back roads from Egton to Helmsley before finally heading back to York.
The back road from Egton to the A170 has all sorts of challenges with tight hairpin bends, some of which have steep gradients in both directions. Also a fairly fast flowing stream needs to be crossed straight after one of the hairpins.
Anyway, here's the route, if you do it I hope you find it as entertaining as I did.
