Police are planting bikes equipped with hidden tracking devices in theft hotspots in a sting operation to catch thieves.
A signal from the tracker alerts waiting officers the moment a bike is moved and allows them to pinpoint its exact location at all times.
There are also plans to hide cameras on the bikes to film the thieves at work.
The operation is being rolled out across Nottinghamshire following a string of bike thefts.
A force spokesman said: “The bikes look like any other road and off-road motorbikes and could be parked up anywhere from driveways and roadsides to car parks.”
Inspector Steve Cartwright said: “Motorbike thieves beware! We are watching and waiting.”
But there that thick thay will still try and rob them. But thay wont get prosicuted due to there poor upbringing having no job and being a drug addict.
