The DSA has released a list of machines officially recognised as suitable for the new ‘A2’ motorcycle test.
From January 19th, all new riders under 24 years of age will have to spend time restricted to 47bhp with an A2 motorcycle licence before graduating to unrestricted machines.

quite a realistic list i think. Most of us would have had a mid range bike for a while after passing our test. I was expecting something a lot worse. But i would like to know how many new riders can afford a brough superior, i know i would like one.
Well I think ...............
It just shows who has influence over the ministry's choice
What a "random" marque to throw into the list
Highly paid civil servants or well off city types
The type who buy a Brough as an "investment"
Which keeps the price artificially high
Because they are not that rare, there are loads still in existence
But they only change hands among those lucky few with the money
Or among the select band of the Brough Owners Club
New ones are being "resurrected" every year
But rarely end up being owned by mere mortals
Hey Mal, you can't help yourself can you lol I recon you are overcompensating now, since riding my tractor you want one yourself, go on admit it ! Pmsl
