I thought it was about time something was organised for this years Mayday run into Hastings.
Perhaps the same meeting place as last year Kippings Cross Services at the southern end of the Pembury By-Pass on the A21 could be used again as a gathering point.
Some of us usually go to the big lay-by at the northern end of the Pembury By-Pass first to have a brew and watch the bikes go past for about ½ hour or so then mosey on down to Kippings Cross in time to set of at around 10.45-11.00.
The same as last year anyone who lives in Hastings and the surrounding area who would like to ride up with us to the Pembury By-Pass, we shall be meeting at the Elva service station on the A21 at the top end of Hastings around 9.00.
There will be pillion seats available if any pilly only members would like to come along, i will say my pillion is already taken by a certain lady terrorist !!
When something definate is sorted perhaps Sandi would be kind enough to put it on the events calender .
Regards Dave
Perhaps we could arrange a time and meet up outside the Carlisle pub on the seafront colin, same for anyone else who can't make the run but wants to meet up.
Its not on the events calender yet stutts, just guaging what interest there is first, will put some firm meet times and places up in due course.
I hope you're right Carol that it does warm up by then, it'll be good to see you again.
Firstly many thanks to Sandi for putting this on the events calender.
Will be at the Lay By at 10.00 for that cuppa and bacon wad and watch the bikes go past for around ½ hour, then ride down to Kippings Cross Services, which is only a couple or so miles down the Pembury By-Pass in readiness to leave there by 10.45.
By the way it does get crowded at the Lay By so you may have to keep your eyes peeled to spot anyone you recognise.
I'm up for it, will go to said lay by at 10am (where is it?) and hope to meet some people. Be on a silver NC700x and not my blue 900 Hornet as in photo.
