Meeting at the Dips New Brighton.
Leaving the Dips at 11am and follow the Egg run route towards Clatterbridge.

We are doing this ride-out to honour the members of the Empress mcc and everyone who made the Egg run one of the biggest, if not the biggest Egg Run in Europe.

To honour every rider (no matter what machine they ride/rode) who has ever taken part in this fantastic happening in the past, we will keep the Wirral Egg Run name and spirit alive!
----------------
The Egg run traditionally starts from New Brighton forming up on Costal Drive where there is a large grassed area and open space away from major residential housing.

The run itself starts at 11am from New Brighton and makes its way through Wallasey Village, onto Leasowe Road and through to Moreton Cross before turning right through Moreton and heading through Hoylake, West Kirby, Caldy and Heswall and then turning onto the Chester High Road and heading into Thornton Hough and on to Clatterbridge Hospital.

This route has been chosen as it has been the same route over the past 8 years since the run has terminated at Clatterbridge and is known by regular participants. This route was also discussed at length with Merseyside Police and deemed to be the safest route with the minimum disruption to road users.

The event itself takes place on public roads and terminates at Clatterbridge hospital where the bikes will form up in the car parks at that location. It is envisaged that vehicles will start to arrive at Clatterbridge hospital around 11.50am and be clear of Clatterbridge site by 4pm the same afternoon.
.....................

Anyone fancy doing this, I've hopefully got a pilly from a very nice gentleman (fingers crossed!)

It looks like an early start (to get to meeting point) but hey in the spirit of charity... in for a penny, in for a pound!

Might be worth checking the final destination as I don’t think they go into the hospital any more, there is plenty of things going on locally after the event so have a chat with some of the other egg runners at the dips and see if there’s something you want to tag along with, will be there amongst the crowd riding on the day

There’s a farm opposite Clatterbridge Hospital that has a good restaurant that a fair few go to they have indoor and outdoor seating and room for a lot of bikes, the Tap at Eastham is another after party venue along with the swinging arm and Molly’s kitchen are both biker places with live music you can find them all on Facebook or google if that’s any help

+1 to everything Brad has said. The farm is here https://www.claremontfarm.co.uk , just follow the bikes. The Tap is probably the best bet for an after-party with its river views and big beer garden, but if the weather's fine it can be very busy and rammed with bikes.
