Insurance estimate comes to £2237-84, on a bike worth £3500. Looks like they might write it off, but I'm hoping they don't and offer me a contract settlement instead. That means they offer me slightly less in cash and the bike doesn't get recorded on HPI. I get to choose who does the repairs and how much is fixed and how much is replaced.
The way the bike is at the moment I can do a proper full repair to their standards for about a third of what's been quoted using top quality used parts and a good painter I know.
