Unfortunately I can't help you Pilly but hopefully someone can... as a teenager I worked for a farmer who always had a fleet of such cars. I got paid for washing them on a Sunday morning but could pick one for a 30 min blast in lieu of cash. Quite often I chose the maroon E-type 4.2 (2+2) hard top... 100mph+ with your bum seemingly an inch from the road, I was hooked for life.....
Having said that trackdays. co. uk appear to have some vehicle experiences at Perranporth so it may be worth asking them?
