Post-Christmas Stoutness

So, I thought I had better visit the gym today, as I still feel like I ate an entire Turkey and 26 boxes of mince pies. And that was just Christmas day.
I signed up about 2 months ago, for the first time in decades, to be both a little healthier and try to make sure I'm not buying more new clothes as the old ones keep shrinking.
It's only a small gym, and was full of new faces today, I reckon they were all the 'New Year, new me' people.
I barely managed an hour and 20 minutes, and a couple of circuits and some cardio, and I already feel wrecked, having had 2.5 weeks off.
Anyone else feeling a bit stout after Christmas?

I don't usually feel the need to go to the gym, I have enough physical work round here... but this last month was a bit different, with weather and not being able to do any outside work. So I feel I need to do something but gyms cost a lot so iam trying to find another option.... January is a bit of a shitty month, more like a Monday that lasts 31 days 🤣

I'm setting my ring tone to a rousing 'who eat all the pies' to keep myself motivated.
Fortunately nobody ever rings me 🤣

To add to my feelings of slightly increasing girth (in the wrong place..), I've just microwave cooked the Christmas Pud that's been in the cupboard for the past 2 Christmas', and had some with cream. It said best before June 2025, but I thought best before 1 o'clock sounded better. So I had some. It was nice.
