Hi folks,
Just had a phone call from my ex, who says he's read in The Sun Newspaper that the Ink and Iron Convention at Birmingham NEC has been cancelled??!!!
Can anyone shed any light, or knows any different, as this was an event I was really looking forward to this year!!
Thanks!!
Flame xx
It is with deep regret that the organisers of the INK & IRON TATTOO CONVENTION & CUSTOM SHOW, through no fault of their own, have had their show cancelled. This is due to recently received information from West Midlands police that the show had been targeted for some sort of disturbance and that there was a risk of violence taking place at the show. Based on this information The NEC has decided to cancel the show to protect the safety of everyone involved.
We are very sorry for all those people who have had to prepare for this show, due to take place in April of this year, and can assure people who have purchased tickets, trade stalls and tattoo booths that all monies will be reimbursed as soon as possible.
If anyone was planning to go to the Ink and Iron and still fancies going out on Saturday night I am joining some bike club friends at Scruffy Murphy's in Brum. Let me know if your up for it.
There have been a few issues between the HA and the OL since the tragic shooting of Gerald Tobin on his way back from the Bulldog bash last year.
There was recently an incident at Birmingham airport, well a running machette battle, lasting close to 10 mins in the arrivals lounge, between HA and arriving OL.
Though was all hushed up by the press.
So the Warwickshire Police have clamped down on all bike rallies in the area, incase of trouble and specifically the Ink and Iron which is ran and organised by the OL.
