Minor mishap on way home from work tnite , clutch
lever came off in my hand , o shit this could b interesting got 4
junctions to negotiate , am fkt if anything comin can't stop , phewwee
had a clear run home , stalled it to stop at house . Luckily I had kept
the old one which had the end snapped off when i dropped the bike at work
one day , still usable jus an mot fail . Put that one on now so back in
action again , have to buy a new 1 b4 mot in June .
Thankfully I was only half a mile from home , jus glad i didn't stall it b4 gettin home , at close to 230kg it's a hefty push , and have got a bit of a hill on approach to my close , that's when it turns into a dead weight .
Why is the end of a clutch lever an M.O.T test fail if it's missing? The main bit is still there init?
I once had a clutch cable snap on my way home after getting an M. O. T test pass lol
End of clutch or brake lever broken off is an MOT fail as it is seen to be a sharp edge . My mate broke the end off the clutch lever on his GSX1400 rounded the end off with angle grinder and it passed the MOT .
Cheers JJ helpfull as always .
5000 miles would b more like it
Yes experience certainly helped , don't panic stay focused by far the biggest help , had plenty alternative junctions to choose from should anything have been coming the other way , one thing's for sure i certainly wasn't going to b stopping .
