Dont know for sure...no doubt there will be a backlash ...but the cafe made a fortune
Helicopter flew over taking photos so will have to have a look in this weeks MCN .
Garages running out of petrol, cafes running out of food, pubs packed, queues for toilets, road works everywhere (intended?), and more bikes than ive EVER seen on a day in Wales. . . and I was only trying to get home from Holyhead ferry! . .
Chaos is absolutely right. Queued for over a mile just to get parked up at the Ponderosa! And we won't even talk about the queue for food!
And then we abandoned going to the Swallow Falls Hotel after seeing the two and a bit miles queue to get back out of the town.
There were a couple of crashes as well, caused by nutters from what I could see. Speaking of which there were a good few nutters out, some of which I nearly "spoke" too after they tried to run some friends off the road in order to gain five seconds here and three seconds there.
But then again, good company, good roads and the sun shone all day long. Roachy and I have only just got home and we're both totally cream crackered (set off at 7.30 this morning).
All in all a really good day. I'll never do it again!
The day was brilliant !! Did try to spot folks from here but gave up as so many there....Took 3 hrs to get home-1 1/2 of which was just to get out of Betws-y-Coed.
Talkin of nutters, young pups in queue for food were laughin an jokin 'bout racing each other going round blind corners on wrong side of road etc Can't help thinking they're going to end up as PODs.....( possible organ donors)
Thanks for the link to photos of the event Geoff
just seen some great pics and ordered one of a fat bloke on a VTR ....can anyone guess the number (challenge on )
