One of the Hairy Biker TV chefs needed hospital treatment after he came off his motorbike today.
Simon King, 42, hurt a leg in the smash in Salter’s Lane, Gosforth, Newcastle, while heading through rush-hour traffic to film a Christmas special.
His TV partner Dave Myers was following shortly behind and witnessed the aftermath of the crash, which left Mr King and his red Ducati machine in the road.
A spokeswoman for the Hairy Bikers show said: "He was taken to hospital and he had some X-rays done.
"He is fine, but a bit shocked, and will be resting at home with his family."
The self-taught chefs were heading for a location shoot for a festive series inspired by the Twelve Days of Christmas song.
A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "Police were called at 7.42am today to a report that a motorcyclist had come off his bike at Salter’s Lane, Gosforth.
"The motorcyclist, a 42-year-old man, was riding a red Ducati motorcycle and was taken to Newcastle General Hospital with what have been described as minor leg injuries."

I've met these guys and they are so down-to-Earth and friendly. Hope your leg gets better Si (not that he'll be reading this ).
Having survived rush hour in Gosforth (where it happened) all I can say is "What the bloody hell were you thinking about taking on 1000's of miserable geordies on their way to work?" These celebs eh?
Come on guys, stop rubbing the salt in.
Poor ol' Si is going to have to face all the jokes now from his chef friends. Ah well, out of the frying pan ..
