Was just wondering, do any members have a favourite watering hole where they could suggest either a one-off or regular get together?
I often hang out at The Princess of Wales on Blackheath,S.London.It's just across the heath from Royal Greenwich Park which is a great place to go for a run, check out the panoramic views of London, picnic or just chill out.
im about 4.5 hours away! lol.
Good one near me is the Millers at Hollingworth Lake in Littleborough outside manchester. Or Rivington Barn is popular (in Rivington, Bolton).
If anyone wants to me, give me a shout
Well I guess in a way it's good to know we are broadly spread around the country but I have a feeling that the lack of replies from here in the 'sarf' is because we are not as friendly and gregarious down here.
When I got into bikes at age 17, you would often see pubs with rows of bikes parked outside and you could just dive in and make a new group of friends.
Meanwhile, a virtual cheers to everyone, especially RC for breaking the ice!

That's very sweet RC.
I like Derbyshire, but I have to admit, the last time I was there I spent most of my time in DRI getting my leg fixed.I broke it at Donington and I'm embarrassed to say that it happened in the campsite, not on the track. What a plonker eh?
haha dont talk to me about the dri.... i went to the rock n blues
i got drunk fell over had to go by ambulance cause they thought id broke my foot!
buti hadnt so was bk in the beer tent for 9pm and started drinking all over again!
so i now whats its like hahahahaha
Well the ambulace took ages to find me (you know what the campsites at Donington are like),then it nearly killed me due to driving over all the ruts in the fields. Finally we got out onto the open roads and I started to relax a bit. Then we arrived at DRI and the bleeding ambulance men dropped me off the stretcher getting me out.It was like something from a 'Carry on' movie-you couldn't make it up!
