FOR HER:-
Flowers - They might be a classic but they are never boring and some well chosen flowers will make her feel special.
Lingerie - Buying lingerie can be scary but, for relationships that are more established, it's a winner.
Jewellery - If you want her to remember you, jewellery is the way to go. Make sure you're ready to make this statement though, it will tell her you're serious about her.
Chocolates - An affordable treat that adds romance to the occasion.
Joint experience - This is the showcase gift, thoughtful, personal and shows you love spending time with her. Or something Bob Marley would have shared with his Misses.
.....and the Bit us Guys are waiting for
For Him:-
Buying presents for men is a nightmare at the best of times,(apparently) let alone on the traditionally girlie Valentine's Day.
Decide which kind of gift you think is best for him then have a look below for detailed tips and offers that will show him you care in a way he'll really appreciate.
Gadgets - He may not be James Bond but you can help him pretend with some cool gadgets and gizmos.
Jewellery - First things first - does he wear jewellery? If he doesn't normally wear it, don't buy it for him.
Underwear - Let's be honest, it's not himself he wants to see in underwear.
Joint experience - Thoughtful, personal and a great way to spend some quality time together. Ermmm....
The element of surprise - Classic Valentine's gifts - with a manly twist! Hehe , see above.
NOTHING.......... its a sad state of affairs if you need one day in the year to express how you feel, you should be doing romantic stuff all year round etc...i just think its commercialised SH*T ....sorry folks but thats my honest opinion
Its 'commercialised SH*T' if you go down that route. Otherwise its just another day where folks can make an excuse to be self indulgent. Doing 'romantic' stuff all year is good, but for one day of the year we have the excuse (if one was needed) to go that extra mile.
I think valentines day probably means more to the Ladies than it does us knuckle dragging types though.
Most of us do, just PUSH the boat out on this one. Surprise gets harder and harder every year which is the fun part for me. How many ways can you act like you've forgotten?? Lol
A womans point of view needed i think ,,personally id rather have a guy thats romantic and thoughtfull all year round,, i dont need presents id rather spend the day on a nice bike trip,, homecooked dinner , cuddle up on sofa with a movie,, then,,,,,,,,
I do think it's commercialised sh*t too, and when I was married we agreed to ignore valentine's day. I think if you are dating though it's a nice excuse to spoil someone or spend some time on your own - not that I'd get the chance with my three! (kids that is, not valentines lol)
i agree think its commercial sht too!! but must admit the only bit i like bout it is getting anonymous card.....
if in relaitonship i agree that its cr*p to feel have to do something jus on this day and i agree with Boody's recommendations for a good one - best pressie is orf out on BIKE then back home and.....
the rest shall we say is valentine's day
I'd be happy with a card this year, but a lack of a bloke may hinder any chances of this happening Might just have to arrange a single girls night out with some friends and valentines day...... The more I think about it the more appealing it sounds
I'm worried because I'll be abroad for a while So the question is will I be able to open my front door upon my return due to all the cards or should I take the back door key with me ?
