Just seen this posted on a friend's wall on Facebook... I came back from Bridlington today in the works van on the scenic road to Seaways cafe, they were re-surfacing a lot of that road even outside the cafe but it was NOT the nice smooth tarmac it was the thin layer of tar then a ton of shale stuck to it, even in the van the ABS was kicking in as there was that much piled up!! WARNING this road is gonna be a death trap for bikes now. Seaways cafe ( A popular bikers cafe) is on the A166 York to Bridlington road http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1025479

called 'chipping' . frigging lethal when newly done , even on 4+ wheels . great once it's been properly tramped in .
