Must admit i run roadsmarts on me beemer. did try some maxxis last year but rear managed 3k, but i was well loaded( hfg was pilly), i shall say no more :-) try busters or m&p as they've been e mailing me some good offers lately. you just need to either fit them or take the loose wheels to get them fitted. Pilots are good though, so if your happy with them, stick with em.
I put Bridgestone 020 on my VFR800 and they were great. 9000 miles out of them the first set. Long distance 2 up, with full luggage, on mainly straight roads (D roads in France) squared the rear of the second set after only 4500 though.
You might still find some 020's if you shop around, but most places are selling 021's, which have mixed reviews.
Let us know what you end up fitting, and how you find them.
I put Michellin Road Pilot 3's on at the beginning of the year and have found tons of grip in wet and dry. They are dual compound so should get a lot of miles out of them.
